A new study shows 51% of young Romanians want to learn German
Bucharest, Romania, February 24, 2019 — According to the most recent Eurobarometer “The European Education Area,” a representative poll in the 28 countries of the European Union, conducted on a segment of the population aged between 15 and 30, 87% of Romanian youngsters responded that they wanted to learn a foreign language.
More than half, namely 51% of young respondents showed interest in learning German, thus earning the highest percentage of respondents in the EU wishing to learn German.
German is an important language both for children and adults because it opens up a host of ways and opportunities for engagement. It is said that a foreign language is learned less easily by the little ones and brings many benefits to the development of the brain, which is perfectly validated by the learning of the German language.
This additionally brings a very important logical structure, as well as stimulating attention. For example, during the Kinder Kultur Haus German courses for children, special attention is paid to the particularities of German language learning by children, from preschool to high school, with emphasis on dialogue, games, and the introduction of modern technology through 3D workshops or interactive stories.
Children over 4 years of age are happy to learn German in groups of up to 8 participants for higher efficiency of the course. The youngest are encouraged to begin speaking in German with the help of games and songs on a specific theme set by the teacher based on a methodology developed by a prestigious publishing house in Germany with interactive whiteboard materials. So are the schoolchildren who also have a manual and a workbook that I go through during a school semester.
