RYA COSMO FOUNDATION “Care The Uncared”
Chennai, India, February 27th, 2020 – RYA Cosmo Foundation was established in 1994 and has been serving as a charitable trust to assist local community activities and revitalize the underprivileged neighborhoods.
Our prime objective is to care for the uncared with a proposed goal to render services to the underprivileged sections of society at an affordable cost.
RYA Cosmo operates under the noble scheme Medibank under which various activities as below are undertaken.
Geriatric and cancer wards have been adopted in GH Chennai and the medicines are dispensed to the patients every month for free. Full-fledged daycare and diagnostic centre named as SDJC is operational, which is exclusively extending its services to the needy.
A Multi-specialty doctor’s consultation and all the diagnostic procedure such as TMT, Echo, ECG, X-Ray, ultrasound scan, endoscopy and colonoscopy services are rendered at their full stretch at a subsidised cost. Also, general physician consultation along with dosage for three days is dispensed free of cost to all the patients. Also, other specialities like Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Cardiology, Psychology & Paediatrics have been recently added.
Besides, RYA Cosmo pharmacy is also sufficiently stocked with all kinds of medicines. A dialysis Centre was also recently opened and is operational. We have recently also added full-fledged dentist and eye care facilities and other multi speciality consultations such as health camps. Another initiative of the foundation is to provide services to meet the immediate healthcare needs of marginalised communities in slums, through standalone camps offering comprehensive health services curative, preventive, promotive and referral services.
In 2019 we have tied up Madras Cancer Care Foundation provides Cancer Care for the patients at an affordable cost. And soon we shall be launching RYA COSMO UGTA FOUNDATIONS BLOOD BANK (REFEX GROUP INITIATIVE) A UNIT OF MEDWAY HOSPITAL at Kodambakkam shortly.
And recently in 2020 The new block of RYA COSMO DISPENSARY TRUST comprising of Cancer Detection Centre, Alternative Therapy Centre, Dental Care and Community Hall is being donated by Shri Manoharraj Kamala Kankaria Charitable Trust.
Our strategic aim focuses on rendering quality clinical services at an affordable cost, accessible to all. This dream of rendering health for all by breaking the barriers of social inequality has come to its present form after 25 years of hard work, determination, perseverance and focus on achieving this noble goal.
